Bruce W. Callner was born in Camden, New Jersey in 1948. He received a B.S. degree in psychology from Western Michigan University followed by a J.D. degree from the University of Notre Dame. Joyce Jenkins Durand was born in Ducktown, TN in 1939. She received a B.S. in elementary education, a master's of librarianship, and a Ph. D. in educational leadership.
